Destination Hong Kong

After finishing work yesterday, we had planned to simply pack our bags and have an early night. But things don’t always work out the way you want…

Finally at 11:30, we headed off to bed – after packing, repacking, throwing stuff out and packing again! After a restless night, the alarm went off at 4am, and half an hour later we were on our way to the airport.

It was an uneventful flight over to Hong Kong. Watched 3 movies (Miss Potter – a story about Beatrix Potter with Rene Zellweger, highly recommended feel good film, The Holiday – Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz swap houses for Christmas, highly recommended feel good film, and The Good German – Arthouse film with George Clooney, set post WWII, OK, bit strange).

When we left Melbourne it was 8 degrees, When we landed in Hong Kong, it was 32! A bit of a shock. So after checking in to our lovely hotel (where we have been upgraded to an Executive suite), we quickly changed before heading out for dinner. Found a great Thai restaurant in Time Square shopping centre, very yummy…

Welcome to Hong Kong!

I assume your hotel is located in Causeway Bay. There are lots of Hong Kong local restaurants which you can enjoy around there and I hope you won’t miss the chance to enjoy the atmosphere of Hong Kongers’ local life!

My 2 cents, if you are looking for a spot for hanging around, check Lan Kwai Fong bars!
